No mystery, no surprise charges. We've laid out exactly what happens, what it costs, and what you should bring — so you can decide for yourself whether 620 is the right fit.
Intake form online before your visit if you prefer, or in office. We capture history, current symptoms, and goals.
One-on-one with Dr. Pittman. He'll ask questions, listen carefully, and start to form a working hypothesis.
The full five-pillar Gonstead exam. Visualization, instrumentation, palpation, motion, and X-rays if needed.
Dr. Pittman walks you through what he found, what's causing your symptoms, and how many visits to expect. First adjustment same day if appropriate.
Total time for your first visit: typically 60–75 minutes. Follow-up visits are usually 15–25 minutes.
The $49 new patient special is a flat fee, paid at the time of your first visit. It applies whether you have insurance or not.
If you have insurance: we'll verify your benefits before or at your first visit and walk you through what your plan covers for ongoing care. We're in-network with most major carriers including BlueCross BlueShield, United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Medicare. We do not currently accept Medicaid.
If you don't have insurance: we have transparent cash pricing. A typical adjustment visit is $65–$95 depending on the work involved. We offer discounted pre-paid packages for treatment plans of 6+ visits.
Auto accident cases: we bill MedPay, PIP, or third-party liability directly. No upfront cost to you in most cases. Call (512) 527-3015 and ask for accident intake.
HSA / FSA: chiropractic care is HSA and FSA eligible.
Gonstead is the most thoroughly diagnostic approach in chiropractic. Rather than adjusting your whole spine and hoping something works, we use a five-pillar examination — visualization, instrumentation, palpation, motion, and X-ray — to find the exact segment causing your pain, and adjust only that. The result is typically fewer visits and adjustments that hold longer.
Not always. If you've had recent imaging (within the last year or two) we may be able to use that. If you haven't, and your case warrants it — particularly for chronic conditions, scoliosis, post-injury cases, or anything where structural questions matter — we'll take digital X-rays in-office. They're included in the $49 new patient fee.
Specific, diagnostic chiropractic care — like Gonstead — has an excellent safety record. Serious adverse events are rare and well below those associated with most medications used for the same conditions. We don't perform high-velocity manipulations without first ruling out contraindications through the exam.
It depends on what's going on. Most acute cases (recent onset, no underlying complications) resolve in 3–8 visits. Chronic or longer-standing cases typically need 8–12 visits to see substantial change, then transition to maintenance. We'll give you a realistic estimate at your first visit, and we'll be honest if we're not making expected progress.
No. A specific Gonstead adjustment is a small, fast, controlled movement. Most patients describe it as a release rather than something painful. Some soreness in the 24 hours after is normal, especially for the first few visits.
Yes. We see pediatric and adolescent patients, including young athletes with sports-related issues. Pediatric adjusting is dramatically gentler than adult work — different technique, different force, different table position.
Come in for the exam. That's the entire point of the diagnostic process. We'll tell you honestly within your first visit whether we think we can help. If we don't think we can, we'll refer you to who can — and the $49 visit is still worth it because you'll leave knowing what direction to head next.
Often yes, especially for acute cases. Call (512) 527-3015 for Lakeway or (830) 693-5502 for Marble Falls and ask. We hold a few same-day slots most weekdays.
